"During the Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council (June-January 2012), thanks to my official accreditation with the EU Institutions, I interpreted throughout all the informal Council meetings and a multitude of high-level meetings in the context of the Presidency. It was a semester of extremely intensive and challenging work at very high level and under optimum professional conditions."

A few noteworthy projects as an interpretation provider

• Interpretation service provider for the Spanish Senate and Congress in the context of various meetings organised by the Cyprus House of Representatives during the Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council, June-December 2012.
• Regular interpretation service provider for meetings organized by the University of Cyprus since 2004.
• Interpretation provision during the official visit of Jean-Claude Juncker to Cyprus on the occasion of his campaigning as a Candidate of the European People’s Party for President of the European Commission in the 2014 European Parliament elections.

A few noteworthy projects as an interpreter

• Being officially accredited as a simultaneous interpreter with the EU Institutions, I regularly interpret for the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg during the Plenary Sessions, and for a variety of missions of the European Commission in Cyprus, Greece and elsewhere.

• I was recruited by “Athens 2004” to interpret throughout the whole period of the Athens Olympic Games – a unique experience of intensive work for a continuous period of 3 weeks covering a variety of events and requiring a great deal of good preparation, readiness as well as stamina!

• I have worked for the Council of Europe on several occasions, but perhaps the most challenging and interesting have been missions of the Council of Europe’s Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT). These have taken me to places where persons are held against their will, such as police establishments, facilities for the detention of foreigners, prisons, educational institutions for juveniles and psychiatric establishments.
