Highlights

"When working on a project, I like to think of myself as an artisan. I talk to my clients, make sure I understand their needs, figure out the ultimate goal of their event and get a clear idea of their target audience. Once I have all the bits of information, I put them together to form a new picture, with a touch of creativity and an Italian twist. After all, that is what we are famous for.

A highlight in my interpreting career was when I served as official interpreter for the first freely elected Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan, who had been invited to speak about his country’s contribution to economics: the Gross National Happiness index. One of the perks of having had the opportunity to get to know all members of the delegation outside of official events was that I got an open invitation to visit Bhutan, where visas are subject to quotas and which I hope to visit one day!

I was also honoured to interpret at the meetings between the Italian Cabinet and EU Commissioners when Italy took over the rotating Presidency of the EU Council. Of course, discussions were highly confidential and not much more can be disclosed. That’s how serious we are about confidentiality."

• Be-Wizard! Web Marketing Event – Rimini (Italy) and San Marino, since 2009.

• Interpretation Service Provider and Chief Interpreter, LH Forum “Movement for a positive economy” – Rimini (Italy), June 2014.
  "I was involved in this project since its early stages and helped my client identify the best solutions for an extremely challenging meeting, which included very long working hours, high-level participants, specific vocabulary, live streaming, audio-video recording and last-minute changes."
   

• EU-OSHA (European Agency for Safety and Health at Work) meeting  – Bilbao (Spain), 2011 and 2012.
  "As chief interpreter, I recruited a team of 30 interpreters to provide simultaneous interpretation in 5 languages and cover multiple parallel sessions. Since there were hardly any local interpreters, I also dealt with travel logistics. After all the hard work, it was a pleasure to hear chairs and participants congratulate us on the smooth, seamless quality of our work."
